Cheeseburger Meatloaf

This was the first meatloaf I ever made, ate, and actually enjoyed. It’s a Paula Deen recipe. I thought I’d share it with you.

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

When I make this recipe, it’s usually during the week, after work, so I roll it into large meatballs. It shaves a little off the cooking time.

1 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
1 cup crushed Ritz crackers
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
1   medium bell pepper, chopped
1   medium onion, chopped
1 teaspoon Paula Deen’s House Seasoning (salt, pepper, & garlic powder)
1 lb ground beef
2   slices white bread

for the sauce:

One 10 3/4-ounce can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup of milk
1 1/2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
2 Tbs. chopped onions
1 bunch parsley, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix all ingredients (except bread slices and sauce ingredients) well.

Line 1 1/2 quart loaf pan with bread slices (the bread will absorb any excess grease and should be discarded after). Spread meat mixture in loaf pan over bread.

Bake for 45 minutes, if making meatballs, bake about 20-30 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat soup and milk over medium heat; add cheese.  Add chopped onions and parsley to the sauce. Pour over meat loaf or pass at the table.
