Sweet Sage Carrots

Sweet Sage Carrots

Sweet & savory, these carrots are always a favorite.

1 lb. baby carrots

3 Tbs. brown sugar

1 tsp. honey

1 tsp. sage (I use Dalmatian Sage Leaves, dried McCormick brand)

1/2 tsp. dried ginger (or 1/4 tsp. fresh, grated)

1/4 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. salt

juice of one orange

1/2 cup chicken broth (or white wine)

1 tab butter, optional

Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan.

Reduce over medium heat for about 25 minutes, until liquid is thickened and  slightly sticky and carrots are tender. Add butter if desired.
